What We Believe

About the Bible

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. Through the providence of God, the Word of God has been protected and preserved.  It is infallible and inerrant and is the standard by which all thought and behavior is to be judged. All Scripture is a testimony to Jesus Christ.

About God

There is one and only one living and true God.  He is holy, powerful, and all knowing.  God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

About Man

Man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. By his free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Only the grace of God can bring man into fellowship with Him.

About Salvation

Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace apart from human works, based solely upon Jesus Christ’s atoning death, received only through faith in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection from death.  There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

About The Church

A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the body of Christ and family of God. It is made up of saved and baptized believers, who regularly join together for worship, Bible study, fellowship, and service.

About the Lord’s Day

The first day of the week is the Lord’s Day. It is a Christian institution for regular observance.  It commemorates the resurrection of Christ from the dead and should include exercises of worship and spiritual devotion.

About Evangelism

We believe that it is the responsibility and privilege of every Christian to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and to seek to make growing disciples.
