Pastor Doug has a desire to see people learning to choose Jesus over the world. His guiding scripture is Galatians 2:20, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."  Since Jesus gave himself for us then the least we can do is give our all for him. That means we don’t think, act, or behave as the world does, but rather as 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things  are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Pastor Doug seeks to help all people understand that the evidence of truly believing in Christ Jesus, is a changed life.

In addition to leading the youth at New Hope, Pastor Doug serves as the Church Planting Catalyst for the Western Region of the Pennsylvania/South Jersey Baptist Association

  Pastor, ED NEIMANN

Ed was born and raised in Boston MA with a religious upbringing, but never understood the salvation offered through the Gospel. On Friday night, December 17th, 1971, while a freshman attending U-Mass at Amherst, he encountered a campus evangelistic event. He heard and understood for the first time his personal need for Christ. He received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and found that Jesus began meeting the deepest needs of his life. This experience of God was so wonderful that he wanted to get to know God more and help others to know Him as well; and thus, began immediately to evangelize family, friends and fellow college students.

After being heavily involved in college ministry with the Navigators and graduating from U-Mass, God led Ed to attend Bible College. It was there that he met Debbie who had recently received Christ and gave up working for a court reporting firm to attend Bible College. After their marriage and upon completing their degree work, the two of them taught at the Bible College for four years. Eventually, Ed moved to pastoral ministry for twenty-four years serving in churches and Christian schools in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, St. Louis, Missouri and Fort Dodge, Iowa while raising their family of five children. Debbie and Ed have participated in and thoroughly enjoyed all the various ministries accompanying the work of a local church and also have served in teaching and administrating in Christian schools. Whether it be preaching, teaching, counseling, visiting, choirs, special music and worship leading, they are thankful to God for the many years and all the various ways He has allowed them to serve in the work of God.

Evangelism has always been a strong emphasis in Ed's ministries throughout the years while doing Pastoral and Christian school work. After completing his doctoral work in 2015, he began to seek the Lord for His future direction. Ed was in the middle of pursuing opportunities to preach in pulpits again, when he came across the Open Air Campaigners website in the spring of 2016. As he viewed the OAC material, God began to challenge him to do this method of evangelizing. He yielded to that call and looks forward to serving God in this new ministry at New Hope as well as continuing to do all that he can to work in the ministry of the church.
